Who will let the dogs out?

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 18, 2005, 3:22 PM
Today, I saw one of the worst things I have ever seen. I saw a tiny house in Texas on a sidestreet, so badly kept, with no furniture in it, smelling of putrid food and smoke. It was covered in filth, and I hardly knew how to react. A slightly suburban area. The people had spent all their money, so they told me, on becoming millionaires (that was supposed to kick in on Monday...hmmm..their own fault). THEN came the worst part. The yipping from the side room and the yard. 8 chihuahuas and pomeranians lay all over the back yard, in their own filth, lacking water with moldy food scattered everywhere. In the side room, rolling around filthy, uncleaned carpets were 17 (!!!!!!!!) more chihuahuas. That is a total of 25 dogs mind you. They were all matted and dirty, so small and not well-cared for. My friend and I tried to convince the woman to let us take the smallest dogs, for it seemed they wouldn't make it otherwise, but she would only spare the 2 year old mother of the two chihuahuas my mother saved about 3 months ago. (They are doing fine now by the way). We took the dog and left straightaway for petsmart. The basics you know...collar, leash, food, bowls, anti-worm and flea stuff. We couldn't get her groomed though or cut at least, because we have no papers. This black pomeranian's name is Sasha. We've called an unresponsive humane society and begged for assistance. Obviously, I cannot just bust in there and demand she change, although I did advise her on the unsavory conditions she provided for her dogs.
This message is not to serve as a sympathy play, but as an encouragement. PLEASE, if you see anything like this, or know it is happening somewhere, do something. Get involved. Animals have rights too. I'm not gonna preach to you now, although I am the no-fur veggie type, just be respectful of any living thing. Know that there are always numbers to call and people to get in contact with. Now I sound sappy and stupid, but just keep that in mind. Those dogs from today will not survive unless the SPCA or humane society gets involved. What can you do? Be attentive. Or get involved...volunteer! Seriously though, I don't mean to drag this out or come at you with a holier-than-thou attitude: DO SOMETHING!

Have you ever been called a Texas Blonde? Hit on by awkward marines? Been so bored out your mind? Missed getting a damn fine leadership award? I have! and for what? For my mom to work. For me to master the myspace.com arena (that thing is addictive). And for me to miss the graduations all of my friends (and their parties!) My birthday approaches...I await.

BAH!

Ok, so I thought I mastered the chem exam....I got an 88! What now....that isn't my "mastering"? Here is the incredibly disastrous story...our ever so pleasant chem teacher decided (and with merit I'll have to add) that when I put x(s) instead of circles...that I was wrong. AND COUNTED THE ENTIRE SECTION OF THE CE(s) off! That is 11% of my grade...otherwise...there was my 99!

Lit was long...my hands were going to break after writing so incessantly.

What time is it?

Exam time! I'm almost excited, if you could call it that, to know that I am so comfortable with this material (Chem!) to STOP studying at 8:30...this hasn't happened before. I usually stress. I guess I have taken a leaf from Wolf's book...Chill!

Trying...
Succeeding...
Gonna whoop up on Capitol Hill soon!

My ears are ringing...it is gonna drive me nuts. Just got back from dinner and a movie. This scumbag at the movie theater used such a bad pick up line. It made me so mad. Do I ask for it? No! He says "So, what are you doing tonight." Obviously...seeing a movie, holding four tickets. "Are you here with anyone?" No, smart one, I bought these to feel special...
